School Facility

Training at The Northwest Iowa School of Taxidermy is conducted in conjunction with the Matuska Taxidermy Studio. The school is housed in a 7600 square foot facility. This modern stone and wood structure, located on 24 acres along Hwy. 71 south of Spirit Lake, Iowa, consists of an administrative office, a commercial taxidermy showroom, a spacious classroom, a large walk-in freezer, paint booth, lunch room, tannery, a separate woodworking and base making building, two live study pens, as well as the Matuska Supply Company.
